Hello, I am Collin Smith. I am a husband, father of two wonderful kids, a University Graduate and Mortgage Broker going on my 25th year.

In my career, I am fortunate to have experienced both sides of the mortgage industry. I worked as a Mortgage Specialist in one of the major banks for nine years. Now, as a broker, I have access to many lenders: including some of those large banks. Knowing how they each process mortgages is an advantage I pass along to my clients.

Conversations about products, pricing, rate strategies, etc. are always interesting. I love helping people realize their financial goals throughout their life stages. It gives me great satisfaction to secure mortgages where others have given up. I am loyal, honest and hardworking. My customers stick with me because I keep in touch with them long after the paperwork. I don’t “love then leave them.”

Living and working in Blackfalds Alberta, a bedroom community of Red Deer, I am conveniently located between Calgary and Edmonton. So, if you’re looking for mortgage services anywhere in Alberta, I’ve got you covered either by meeting in person, over the phone or online.

Hi, I’m Emmersen. I work alongside my dad, Collin, as part of The Smith Team, I really enjoy helping make the mortgage process feel as simple and stress-free as possible for our clients’.

I’m very organized, detail-oriented and big on communication. I like making sure everything is handled properly behind the scenes, while also keeping our clients informed and comfortable throughout the process. Mortgages can feel overwhelming, so I want people to know they have someone in their corner who is paying attention and looking out for them.

Working with Collin gives me the opportunity to learn from his years of experience while also bringing a fresh perspective to the team. Together, we combine experience, organization, and personal service to make sure every client gets the attention they truly deserve.

For me, the best part is building relationships with our clients and being there for more than just one transaction. I want people to feel like they can reach out anytime, whether they have a quick question, are buying their first home, refinancing, or getting ready for a renewal. My goal is to make the entire experience feel personal, supportive, and easy – and to be someone you know you can count on for years to come.

Our mortgage and building process was a little "trickier" then most due to some changes along the way but Collin was there every step of the way laying out all of our options and kept in good communication with my wife and I. He was never pushing us to use his services, he was just very honest and wanted my family to do what was best for us.
